Leela O'Connor
Leela O’Connor (she/her) is an Indian Australian librarian and artist living on unceded land. An English Literature and Politics graduate, she has research interests in non-linear time, queer oral histories, postcolonial environmentalism, and the politics of text production. Her latest printmaking series reckons with the concept of a ‘motherland’, while earlier prints meditate on favourite literary passages. Memordata (2023) is Leela’s first venture into self-portraiture and the topic of data production. Leela has participated in feminist reading groups for seven years, currently at Adelaide University’s Reading Feminism. More of Leela’s work can be found on Instagram @literarylino.
