Christa van Raalte is Associate Professor of Film and Television at Bournemouth University and the Head of the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice (CEMP). Her research interests include constructions of gender in science fiction and action films, ageing on screen, narrative strategies in complex TV, and working conditions and management practices in the film and television industries.
